The Institute of Maritime & Economic Strategy was established in London in March of 2011 as an International Shipping Think Tank and specialized in the Maritime Economic sector. Today, the IMES has more than 4200 social members, all Ship-owners or executive employees in the Shipping Industry.

​On the occasion of the conclusion of the 7th year life of our organization, the Institute of Maritime & Economics Studies decided to upgrade its identity and proceed in a fully rebranding, changing the name and the logo of its organization.

​From April 2018 the IMES will be branded as Institute of Maritime & Economic Strategy

The Institute of Maritime & Economic Strategy has managed to realize an impressive effort, providing both its members and the wider shipping industry, with significant information and Intelligence in the fields of Maritime Economics, Geopolitics and international Diplomacy, always in relation to their influence on the present and future of the International Marine.

Our Mission

IMES produces high confidential Intelligence Reports, working and cooperating with Embassies, Diplomatic offices, Universities and Institutions in 12countries in all over the world. During those 7 Years the IMES has chosen to provide only a few of its Intelligence reviews to the public, since the majority of the studies and reports was addressed only to the members and to the Institutions or "clients" that had ordered this kind of research as well.
